Chili Recipe

This is a small amount of chili because it came from "Dinners For Two" recipe book.  We got it as a wedding gift forty-two years ago this Wednesday (Nov. 18.) It makes 2 generous servings.

Three-in-one Hamburger Mix

1/2 Cup chopped onions
1 tbsp. butter
2 lbs. ground beef
2/3 cup catsup
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup chopped celery
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vinegar
1/4 tsp. dry mustard

Saute onions, celery in butter.  Brown meat and combine all ingredients. This makes great Sloppy Joes.

Chili

1 1/3 cups Three-in-one Hamburger Mix
1 can kidney beans (including liquid) I use hot chili beans instead
1 cup tomato juice
2-3 tsp. chili powder

The chili is great the next day! It makes 4 cups.

What a great web log. I spend hours on the net reading blogs, about tons of various subjects. I have to first of all give praise to whoever created your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an fabulous article. I honestly believe there is a skill to writing articles that only very few posses and honestly you got it. The combining of demonstrative and upper-class content is by all odds super rare with the astronomic amount of blogs on the cyberspace.
