Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY
This is the lobby of the Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY. It has new carpet as well as a renovated balcony. What was once open on the second level is now closed in and looks like store fronts.

I went to Southeast church once. It is important to understand that Salvation comes from Faith Alone in Christ Alone. END OF STORY. No works is needed.. see Eph 2:8,9, and the 70 (Seventy) times John states this in the Gospel of John.
When I was at SE the Pastor stated verbatim:"that you are not saved unless "I" have dipped you in that water"... as he pointed to the Baptismal... Please if one is considering SE... remember that it is Scripture that is The Absolute Truth... all that we do and 'believe' comes from the BIBLE. Salvation is the Grace of God.. NOT some 'man' dipping me in a pool of water.
I do not attend Southeast church. I do not even live in the Louisville area to attend Southeast. However, it must be said that baptism is a necessity of salvation. Thus the reason that John the Baptist, his disciples, and the disciples of Jesus all baptized. Jesus said to John that he must be baptized. John then responded that he needed to be baptized by Jesus. It is a fulfillment of scriptures. Only in water baptism is there a washing away of sin. It is the exact same as the Old Testament tabernacle plan.
Baptism is a must. I do attend Southeast and I can tell you what the church's stance on baptism is. You should be baptized just as Jesus set the example of. Now we do not say that baptism is the thing that saves you, but it is your public confession of your faith. The act of baptism itself does not save you, but it is a necessary part of your decision for Christ. But, if you have made a decision in your heart, God knows that, and if you are unable to be baptized because for any reason such as if you die between the time when you make your decision for Christ and when you are going to be baptized, you are still saved. That is what Southeast believes and teaches. Baptism itself does not save you, its about a confession of faith, but if you are able to be baptized it is something that Christ himself demonstrated as what we should do.
